Not at all. Many visitors enjoy Dunn’s River without doing the climb. There are viewing areas, gardens, beach access, seating areas, and spaces to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Is the climb difficult?
The climb is considered moderate and can be enjoyed by visitors with reasonable mobility. Experienced guides are available throughout. The rocks can be slippery — proper footwear is essential.
Can children climb the falls?
Yes! Dunn’s River is a popular family experience. Children should always be supervised by an adult near the water. We also have a lovely splash pad just for the little ones.
Can I bring my phone or camera?
Absolutely — Dunn’s River is one of Jamaica’s most photographed attractions. Waterproof pouches are strongly recommended for the climb. Professional photography services may also be available on site.
What if I cannot swim?
Swimming is not required to enjoy the falls or participate in the climb. You can have a full and wonderful experience without swimming at all.

Yes. The property includes lockers, changing rooms, restrooms, and shower facilities, so you can store your valuables and freshen up with ease.

Absolutely! You can do both the falls and the beach, or choose just one. Beach chairs are available for rent at USD 5.
